"The 4870 is an excellent card, but for now, all the models are functionally identical, and there are yet to be factory-overclocked cards, let alone custom-cooled models. Variation ranges from changing the sticker to adding spiffy adapters. If you buy Diamond, you're not buying a different card, you |

If you are in the market for a new graphics card in the $300 range, the HD 4870 should be your weapon of choice. |

With the complete bundle, a fair price, and a helpful tech-support line offered by Diamond, if you are looking for a super-charged upgrade to your gaming rig, it would be hard to do much better this summer than picking up a Diamond Radeon HD 4870. |

This is one heck of a card. It will eat Crysis for breakfast. very good value. This thing runs hot!!! Even with adjusted fan. DO NOT PUT THIS ON 100% unless you're death. I'm not exaggerating, it's louder then my vacuum cleaner. :/

I like this card alot because its not so big as nvidia cards and you can fit a solid card into a small case. I got this card on the back to school sale part II sale for $249.99 after MIR and couldnt be hapier after applying the fan fix.

Running 2 of these in Crossfire only problem so far is a high idle temp I'm told this is a driver problem as they dont run much hotter under load so far I'm very satisfied with the performance,

This card cut trough every game you throw at it at very high except crysis of course. Bios can be easily flashed to diamond xoc be edition n800/4400 mhz (save 30$) and unlock overdrive limit.

For the money this is the absolute best performance you can buy. The card came very nicely packaged, bundled with every type of connector you could possible need. Runs my 24" LCD at 1920x1200 on the highest settings in every game I've thrown at it. A glance at any benchmark should assure you, 4870s are where it's at. While I don't like that it idles at 80C, this is the known trade off. The fan is silent while idling, and only slightly louder than other components under heavy load. This is the first video card I've purchased, which wasn't bundled with a game by the manufacturer, however NCIX shipped RSV2 with it, which was a nice touch.

This card is great for gaming. Can run COD4, TF2 and other games at high settings without problem. The card does run hot but it seems like it was designed to handle those temperatures. There is also a trick to increase the fan speed to get it cooler if wanted. I had no problem fitting the card in a coolermaster 590.

This card dominate game specs allowing me to run games at best settings. At the price it is selling at, it is definitely worth more than what you pay for. The bad thing going for it is the size of the card. It is pretty massive; it may not fit in some cases. Also the heat it generates is pretty huge( though this can be solved with fixes). Diamond doesn't offer the best warranty possible but it is still pretty good. Right now, with the sales, this card is a recommend

Picked this thing up not long after the release, so had to pay a slight premium on it vs the $10-20 price drops on these cards now.
