I've been very impressed with this card overall so far. Obviously, it's not the best card out there, but I've still been able to play Crysis, along with anything else I've thrown at it so far, with really good framerates.       » READ MORE

It's a very good video card for it's price range. The 8800GT is a better card even though the 9600GT should technically be better because of its numerical series name. From what I have read the 8800GT runs hotter and uses more power then the 9600GT. There are now better video cards on the market now that bury the 9600 series in terms of performance. But if you just want an economical video card that plays your games on medium settings. Then this video card isn't a bad choice for a budget system.

First off, EVGA customer service is one of the best in the industry. I got one of the initial cards with the 'Black Screen' issues, and EVGA offered to RMA it for free. Anyways, it comes with a VERY mild overclock, which anyone can do with EVGA Precision by themselves safely. With a X2 4400+ as my CPU, I run the Crysis demo (yeah, another Crysis benchmark) with all settings on high, shadows off, water detail on medium, no AA, at 1440x900 with about 30 or so fps.      » READ MORE

Had two of these running in SLI but I opt'd to switch em out for an ATI HD3870x2, these cards are great, and you cant beat the price, I had absolutely no problems with these, I can run everything at 1680x1050 with max settings and 4x FSAA. Absolutely love the cards.      » READ MORE

This is the best video card purchase I have made since my Radeon 9800 Pro. This card can run any game at a decent frame rate. COD4 runs beautifully at maximum settings even on a relatively old CPU such as an 3800+. Crisis runs at a playable rate. With this baby you can fully enjoy the latest games for for under $200 (including taxes and shipping).       » READ MORE

Other than the issue of having to RMA it, it's a great card overall. Just hope you got a good one, and not a defective one.      » READ MORE

8800 would rape this thing. my 8600 is VERY comparable to this. disappointing. returned my 9600 to local vendor for a palit 8600. perhaps I got a lemon card, but my 8600 is cheaper and performs the same.      » READ MORE
