I've had my eye on this one since it came out. I finally got it for my new system and it's worked wonders. I've left it running at stock with stock cooling, but I'm tempted to bump it up just a little bit. I haven't exactly done any benchmarks, but I don't "feel" that it's any faster compared to my old hunk of junk E6300. Well, I'm sure real benchmarks would prove me wrong. I chose this over the Q6600 mainly because of price and my lack of the need to have more than 2 cores. Until I see some huge price drops on the i7 series, this is what I'm going to recommend to everyone I know.

Easly overclockable at 4Ghz without using a Water cooling, use very low watt, also it a 45nm, Kick ass FSB.

A very nice processor for pit's price. Can be overclocked to 4.0ghz under the right settings and conditions. For those on a budget and don't want to spend the extra $20 for a quad core.

most games are written for dual cores this core is a great for games except if you want to do normal things i suggest getting a q6600 cuz that is faster :)

Worth every dollar spent for this, great for overclocking and arguably the best in the Dual Core series. Would recommend it for any gamer as it can beat the Quad 6600 in some aspects. Great buy if you need something that performs well if you don't have a lot to spend. The i7 series is too expensive for the performance it is giving out.

This is a really good processor for someone who wants to get a gaming computer but doesn't want to shell out a lot of money. This processor meets minimum requirements on almost every PC game released. Recommended!

One of the easiest to overclock cpu,s I have ever bought. running at 3.825ghz at 1.26 volts and it doesnt break a sweat as the temps with a Zigmatek S1283 aftermarket cooler are 27c idle 49c full load and thats with the cooler fan at 60%. This is a great gaming chip and highly recommended.

The only problem that anyone would have with this chip is that it's not a quad core. But then again the people that would have that problem wouldn't buy this chip. Well worth every penny!
