I bought this for a client's system thinking that this would be the best bet for what they needed. I built their system around an ASUS P5QL Pro motherboard, Intel Core 2 Duo E8200, 4 GB PC2-6400 RAM and Antec Sonata III. The build went well, however after one week, the system would not boot. I was forced to re-flash the BIOS just to get it to POST again. The culprit seemed to be an issue with the BIOS not playing well with card (which I have since discovered is a known issue). Once I was able to boot into Windows again, the video drivers were very flaky. I was getting pixelation and random blue screen errors as well as random reboots. I tried three various iterations of drivers until I finally found one that seemed to work and I then benchmarked the system for 12 hours. This seemed to work and there were no further failures. I would purchase again as it performed well once all the issues were ironed out, however, it seems as though drivers are a little bit flaky. (I had heard about bad drivers with ATI cards before but had never experienced it with any of my cards).

The only thing better than this card is two of them. Sold my first one so I could pick up newer heatsink ver. Have one more on order. Plays on 3200 MB/AMD 6000/ 4 gigs XFire OCZ6400/ P&C 750 XFire PS. SM245tu1900x1200 for nice vis. All Games set at max or very close. Decided this route as X2 cards are either gddr3 with pci2.0 or gddr4 with pci1.0. This card is gddr4 AND pci2.0. Why buy last years tech even if it is on a new card?

This was my first top of the line video card purchase, and I love it. Being able to play Team Fortress 2 on 1680x1050 on highest settings possible with x8 AA and x16AF feels like you are in one awesome pixar cartoon. Handles any UT3 engine game easily.

Before I purchased this card, I did at lot research. I wanted a great card at the best price possible. I narrowed my choice down to one of three cards....the NVidia 8800GT and 9600GT and also the Diamond Radeon HD 3870. I initially decided on the 9600 GT but the card was back-ordered so I thought I'd take a chance and go with HD 3870. Well...what a surprise! I'm playing Crysis with all the settings cranked up to the max and have not encountered any problems or glitches whatsoever. Everything is beautiful. It runs very quietly. This is a big card but it should fit most cases. I have it installed on a MicroATX MB in a Micro Fly MicroATX case. I had to trim a very tiny bit off the back of the drive cage to accommodate the hump on the card from the card's fan but no big deal. You need a minimum 450 watt power supply. I highly recommend this card.

Aside from this thing being HUGE and unwieldy, I can find no problems with it. Obviously, as a dual-slot solution, it's gonna be huge. That said, I'm very impressed with this card's performance, so much so that after I put one in my girlfriend's machine, I bought one myself. A great buy.

Great card! I bought this puppy with the $40 off and even with next day shipping this thing was under $240! I would STRONGLY recommend ALL GAMERS (those who can afford) to buy 2x of these things and CF them ASAP! I'm getting the 790FX motherboard from ASUS and a Phenom 9600 very soon and even with my weak A$$ x2 4400+ this thing runs WoW 40+ FPS everything maxed!!! Same with Cs Source, and even Hellgate London 1920x1440!!! BUY THIS BEAUTY WITH CONFIDENCE!!!!!
