It's with this in mind that Corsair has introduced its new VX range of power supplies. Coming in 450W and 550W variants and claiming over 80% efficiency across the complete range of load levels - not the 80% at full load many makers will quote - it sounds like it could be just the ticket.
With good DC output quality under almost all circumstance, good efficiency, low noise, and plenty of power for most midrange systems the Corsair VX450W is a value product ( $79.99+Shipping & $79.90+Free Shipping ) with premier product performance.

Bought this to replace a dual 12V Rail Enermax EG495P-VE that has failed t3+years. A Back up Enermax EG475P-VE would also not power my system. The system is stable with the Corsair CMPSU-450VX and it's single 12V Rail.

guess i got one of the broken ones, high pitched noise coming from it, gotta exchange it. Other than that, it is a very good psu, very efficent, cant really comment on the silentless, as it is very noisy right now

This is a great power supply that should be able to power almost any system with 1 video card, with out overclocking anyways.

This is an amazing PSU. It runs all of my hardware that other 450W PSUs could never even dream of powering. Many people might be turned off by the low wattage level of this PSU, but Watts aren't everything. This can probably outperform many other higher capacity PSUs. One problem I has was the fact that this PSU only has one 6-pin connector. My graphics card needed 2 6-pin connectors. Fortunately, included with my card was a 6-pin to dual molex connectors. Problem solved.

i was very impressed with this power supply. powers my system flawlessly: e8400, 8800GTS 512MB, GA-DS3L, 2GB DDR2, 320GB HD, DVD-RW, X-fi gamer. the psu is also really quiet.

Just an all around quality power supply for a low-mid range system. Using one to power an E4300, X1950 Pro and a few drives and have never had a problem. All of the cables are sleeved which makes for easier cable management as well as just looking cleaner.

Well this thing makes an irritating high pitched buzzing noise. Its not the fan. It goes away when the CPU is under load (strange). Will have to return or RMA it. Looking at the Corsair forums, this seems to happen occasionally.Wish I'd known that before purchase.
